Alternators

The Jasco® alternator System is approaching it's third decade of service on both fixed wing and rotary aircraft. This alternator has proven itself as the most efficient charging system available on both factory new installations and as a replacement and upgrade unit for bulky generators or inefficient competitive alternators.

Some of the advantages of the Jasco® Alternator include:

· Light- with an average of 11.4 lbs. per unit.

· Small- with a base diameter of 5.35" and an average length of 8.75", the Jasco® system is smaller than most generators.

· Efficient- because our rotors are smaller than that of a generator and turn approximately 20% faster, they produce higher output at both low and high engine R.P.M., giving your battery power when it needs it.

· Dependable- ram air cools the diodes on both gear and belt driven applications, giving this alternator longer life. Perfectly matched with it's adjustable solid state regulator with built-in spike protection, the Jasco® Alternator will give you hundreds of trouble-free hours of operation.

Ignition Harnesses

Constructed to outlast and out-perform any harness in it's class, Aero-Lite harnesses are built with low-loss, high-tension conductors of standard steel. The outer sheath covering the shielding braid is made of durable silicone to guard against engine heat, moisture, vibration and air pollution.

Original Aero-Lite® harnesses...the first choice of mechanics, feature the unique, screw-in magneto plate for easy replacement of worn-out leads.

Introducing Aero-Lite II®... a new product from Skytronics. This harness is built with new swaged (PMA) magneto plates, similar to those on original factory harnesses.

Aero-Lite® Custom harnesses... for special application. The custom harness uses the customer's original swaged magneto plates, and is rebuilt to the same high-quality standards found in all Aero-Lite® products.

All Aero-Lite® ignition harnesses:

· Are warranted to T.B.O. or 3 years

· Are FAA/PMA approved

· Are available and approved for all Lycoming®, Continental® and Franklin® engines

· Are available with optional 90 degree brass spark plug elbow fittings

Conduit

Skyflex® Conduit for radial engines. Approved by both the FAA and U.S. military, these leads feature brass fittings and a rugged neoprene covering molded onto a brass conduit, which is cut to fit your radial engine.

Skyflex® Conduits features:

· All conduit jackets made of genuine, molded neoprene.

· Assembled conduits are subjected to high pressures to insure tightness against air and moisture.

· To form a solid, ruggedized bond to and into the braid of the conduit, neoprene jackets are pressure molded.

· All nuts are made of plain finish, precision threaded brass entirely free of tool marks.

· Brass, chamfered ferrules are soldered onto the conduit with high temperature solder to insure an unbreakable bond and leave a clearance of 1/16" at the top of the ferrule. This clearance permits rubber to flow under the ferrule during the molding process, an exclusive Skyflex® feature! In addition, ferrules are deeper to allow for a greater soldering surface.
